Information about Deanna Durbin
Deanna Durbin began her screen career in 1935 in an MGM movie entitled "Every Sunday" in which she starred opposite Judy Garland.
She made twenty-one movies with Universal, rising to become Hollywood's most highly paid female star of the period before retiring at the age of 28 to concentrate on her family and marriage to French director Charles Henri David.
Her charm, good looks and beautiful soprano voice have ensured that her records and movies continue to be appreciated
